The International Association of Clinical Biomechanics (IACB) proudly announces the launch of its new digital engagement vehicle, IACB Momentum, alongside the formal establishment of its governing structure. In his inaugural address, Dr Abbie Najjarine, President of the IACB, articulated a clear vision to solidify the association as the global authority in applied biomechanics.
“This moment marks not just a launch, but a commitment,” Dr Najjarine stated. “We are moving the profession forward, focusing on the fundamental promise that defines us.
The IACB has confirmed its Taiwanese Board of Directors, ensuring robust, accountable, and decisive governance. This structure provides the necessary leadership to assist in delivering global standards and drive the expansion of our regional chapters, beginning with the formal ratification of the Taiwan Board.
One of the association’s main objectives is to provide a platform for members to learn and develop their knowledge in clinical biomechanics through structured CPD programs and events.
To execute this vision effectively, the President confirmed the appointment of Edgard Diaz as Chief Executive Officer, with a mandate to drive execution across all strategic pillars, including financial sustainability and sponsor acquisition, as well as the deployment of the new Association Management Platform (AMP). This system will close the digital gap, allowing for seamless CPD tracking, automated renewals, and high-value member communication.
The Commitment to the Members
Dr Najjarine emphasised that every strategic decision made by the Board and the CEO is centred on delivering tangible, measurable value. The new digital infrastructure and educational programs are not administrative upgrades; they are tools designed to strengthen the members’ professional competency and market position.
The address concluded with a call to action: to engage actively with the new resources and seize the opportunities provided by IACB Momentum to advance the science and application of clinical biomechanics worldwide jointly.Executive Focus: Driving Program Execution and Operational Efficiency
